View Change Stages

On the change details page, you can track the change's progress through each stage and perform a variety of actions based on your role and access permissions. The available change stages are:

  • Submission

  • Planning

  • CAB evaluation

  • Implementation

  • UAT

  • Release

  • Review

  • Close

The left pane allows you to navigate through stages. Under each stage, you can use the tabs provided to collect information and perform change actions depending on your access permission. You can identify the change stage using coloured dots.


Orange - Indicates current stage.

Green - Indicates completed stage.

Grey - Indicates skipped stage.


Submission - Track and update change details, view roles assigned, define and allocate tasks, record your approval decision, and view status comments. Change details can be modified using global or spot edit. However, some fields are editable only via global edit.

 

 

Planning - Track impact details, rollout plan, backout plan, and checklist. You can also view the downtime and release schedule. If your role supports, you can add or edit these details. You can manage the stage approval, create and allocate tasks, track request associations, and view status comments.

 

 

CAB Evaluation - Manage your CAB approval, define and allocate tasks, and view status comments.

 

 

Implementation - Create and assign tasks, record your approval decision, create project associations, track requests and project associations with the change, and view status comments.

 

 

UAT - Besides viewing pre-configured information, you can add test plans or issue list, schedule the UAT, and record the actual time line. You can also add and allocate tasks and view status comments.

 

 

Release - Besides viewing pre-configured information, you can add the issue list, schedule release, and record actual time line. You can also track downtime, add and allocate tasks, and view status comments.

 

 

Review - Besides adding your review of the entire change process, you can manage stage approval, break down the stage into tasks, and view status comments. If you are a reviewer, then you can go through the information provided.

 

 

Close - You can manage approval, create tasks, and view status comments. To close the change, click Close or Actions > Close Change and provide the closure code.

 

 

The right panel of the change highlights critical information such as stage, status, workflow, template, approval status, associations, and more. You can also preview and download attachments and navigate to the change associations page from the right panel.
