Portals in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud
Immediately after you log in to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud, you will be directed to the ESM Portal or the Self-Service Portal, depending on your permission scope.
If you are added to multiple service desk instances, you will be redirected to the ESM Portal.
If you are added only to a specific service desk instance, you will be redirected to the corresponding Self-Service Portal.
Common Terminologies
ESM Portal - A central console from where you can access various service desk instances to log issues, raise requests, or access the knowledge base.
Service Desk Instance - A service desk instance is created specifically for a business function like IT, HR, or Facilities to manage their service desk operations. You can use the relevant self-service portal for the service you require.
Self-Service Portal - A platform where each service desk instance is hosted. The self-service portal acts as a helpline for users to get support and information.
